May the 4th Be With You!
If you were to ask someone what their favorite holiday is, you’d probably get fairly common responses like Christmas or Halloween. While Christmas is pretty dope, my favorite holiday is May the 4th. If you’re unfamiliar with this glorious day, it’s safe to say you’re probably not a Star Wars fan, so I’ll explain. May the 4th is a play on the ubiquitous Star Wars line “May the Force be with you” and is celebrated as the intergalactic Star Wars Day.
I relish the opportunity to deck head to toe in Star Wars gear, from my tie to my socks and everything in between. If I could get away with coming to work dressed like Darth Maul, you better believe I would. Can you imagine the look on the unsuspecting faces of patrons as I roll into Starbucks for my early morning brew, but with menacing yellow eyes and horns? I get chills just thinking about it. My cufflinks, tie, tie bar, pocket square, and socks are much more office appropriate and are just as festive.
