CUFFLINK ADAPTERS

Cufflink adapters are the perfect solution for anyone who loves the look of French cuffs but doesn’t always have a shirt designed for them. These clever accessories slip onto standard button cuffs, instantly converting them into stylish French cuffs so you can showcase your favorite cufflinks with ease. Affordable, reusable, and discreet, cufflink adapters let you upgrade any dress shirt for formal events, business attire, or everyday sophistication. If you're curious how these work, please follow our instructions below:

Method A — Folded “French-cuff” look (most popular)

  1. Unbutton the cuff.
  2. Slide the adapter over the cuff’s button so it sits fully in the slot and the small round hole faces outward.
  3. Fold the cuff back once (like a French cuff), aligning the edges.
  4. Insert the cufflink post from the outside through both layers and the adapter’s round hole.
  5. Secure the back (e.g., rotate the bullet bar) and straighten the cufflink face.

Method B — Keep the cuff unfolded (fast & neat)

  1. Leave the cuff buttoned as normal.
  2. Slide the adapter over the button so the round hole lines up with the opposite cuff’s buttonhole.
  3. Insert the cufflink post through the adapter’s hole and then through the cuff’s existing buttonhole.
  4. Secure the back and adjust.

Fit & compatibility tips Works with most cufflink styles
(swivel/bullet-back, fixed-back, chain link).

  • If the post seems tight, insert from the outside and rotate the bullet parallel before pushing through.
  • Adapters are designed to be low-visibility/“invisible” when worn.
  • If the adapter slips off, make sure it’s fully seated over the button and the slot grips the button’s rim.
  • To clean, rinse with mild soap and water; air-dry away from heat.

Quick troubleshooting Can’t get the post through?

  • Fold method (A) usually gives the cleanest alignment. Rotate the bullet bar first.
  • Cuff feels tight when folded? Use Method B or choose slimmer cufflinks.
  • Adapter showing? Ensure the round hole faces outward and the adapter sits flat under the cuff edge.
